Have-a-Go Day: Weaving Textures with a Rigid Heddle Loom
Unfortunately, our scheduled talk by Claire Shovelton from Studio EVIG natural dye company has been postponed to a later date.
Fortunately, Guild member Angela has stepped in to run a have-a-go day for us! Angela will bring in five looms for us to experiment on with warp and weft manipulation to produce textures such as Brookes Bouquet and Leno. You can also bring in your own loom to experiment on – please have a balanced warp on the loom in any colour combination.
The Guild’s four-shaft loom will also be available and setup for Krokbragd.
Also, don’t forget the Sales Table, Show and Tell, and afternoon tea and cake!
