About

The purpose of the Oxford Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers is to bring together those interested in textiles and in textile making by providing a forum for meeting others who are interested in the subject and providing opportunities to widen their knowledge and skills as well as offering a chance to exhibit their work in public.

We meet monthly on the 3rd Saturday of the month, except in August, at Beckley Village Hall and our workshop days generally take place in Stanton St John Village Hall.  Meetings are from 10am to 4pm, where you can enjoy a “Have-a-go” day or listen to one of our Speakers’ Talks. Bring a packed lunch.

Whether you’ve been spinning and weaving for years or it suddenly takes your fancy to learn we are always delighted to welcome new members. We all love working with fibres and textiles, and thoroughly enjoy sharing our interest – and learning something new.

We welcome visitors, making no charge for their first visit, and a charge of £10.00 for the next two visits, after that we request that they join the guild.

Membership for 2024-5 is £50 per person, and £75 for joint membership.  Subs are due by March 2024.
