Pattern Cutting for Hand Woven Fabrics with Wendy Usher

You will be shown examples of jackets and other matching items and accessories made by tutor Wendy Usher as she takes you through the do’s and don’ts of sewing hand-woven fabrics.

Make your own simple jacket pattern from paper to take home and use.
Examples will be given of different fastenings and closures to use, and how best to join woven fabric pieces together. Examples will also be shown on how to blend woven fabric with other materials.

The group can share examples of their own weaving and Wendy will guide you through some ideas on how to weave specifically to make a garment.
